Item Description

Read the glowing reviews about this lucious bottle and bid!

94 points from Stephen Tanzer's International Wine Cellar:  Deep medium ruby, very dark, perfumed aromas of crushed cassis, blueberry, mocha and menthol. Dense, sappy and spicy, with terrific energy to the flavors of dark berry liqueur, game, licorice and menthol; I picked up a note of Cointreau. This superconcentrated wine boasts a generous texture but also has superb supporting structure and energy to ensure a long evolution in bottle. Finishes with big, broad tannins and terrific length. (ST)   (5/2009)

92 points from Wine Spectator:  Earthy spice, sage and savory dried berry flavors are full-bodied and well-crafted, tightly wound and appropriately tannic at this stage, yet the flavors build and gain intensity and density, making this all the more compelling on the finish. Firmly tannic. (JL, Web-2009)

91 points from James Suckling:  Loads of vanilla and blueberry on the nose. Full bodied, with pretty berry fruit and hints of vanilla. Long and delicious this is very approachable already. Pull the cork after 2012.   (2/2011)

90 points from the Connoisseurs Guide:  Exceptionally well-focused, incisively varietal fruit of cassis and ripe cherries make the aromas into one of the most inviting yet of the 2006s, but the wine is just enough less inviting in the mouth. It falls off super-star pace with a drying and coarse drift towards the finish, but it has both the depth and the richness to become better with five years in the bottle. *One Star*   (8/2009)
