Item Description
Bring home a unique piece of Nor'wester history commemorating the 2018 launch of Steve Brown's new canoe!
Cement casting of an original Steve Brown woodcarving. Weighs 11.6 pounds, measures 10.25 inches in diameter. Cast from Portland cement. Durable outside.
About the carving: During Summer 2018, master woodcarver and former Nor'wester staff member Steve Brown completed and launched Gwawina'dzi, a new dugout canoe, at camp. The launch represented the culmination of seven summers of work on the canoe. Steve included a carving of a frog on the bow of the canoe to commemorate the frog (or several frogs) who lived in the canoe during the time the carvers worked on it.
Item Special Note
