Item Description

Invite 6-8 guests to your home, where Chef Jacquie will provide a private overview and lesson of Thai cuisine, including the use of lemon grass, mint, fresh lime juice, and coconut milk, creating unique dishes for your group. Chef Jacquie will provide all the ingredients while the host provides wine, drinks, dishware, etc. The menu may include Thai summer rolls, lemongrass marinade, ceviche, Thai chicken, mint salad, and a coconut dessert. Private lesson and dinner will be held in April 2019, date and time to be mutually decided. Chef Jacquie is a professionally trained chef, raised in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. Following the completion of her studies and work throughout Australia, the Tasmanian chef found herself drawn to the flavors and techniques of Thai cooking. Her training in the kitchen of a Sydney Thai chef lead her to opening her own restaurant in Australia: Thai Me Kangaroo Down. Prior to settling in the U.S., Jacquie spent ten years as a private yacht chef in France, where she fine-tuned her style. Jacquie found herself in Newport, Rhode Island, where she became a regular guest chef for the PBS television program Cultivating Life and has been involved in the heritage breed and local food movement.
