Item Description
The whole issue of OUR CONTINENT, volume II number 17, November 1, 1882. A periodical published in Philadelphia. Features a five-page in-depth article about that year's session of the Concord School of Philosophy in Concord, Massachusetts, written by Hester M. Poole. Includes exgraved depictions of the school building, of Bronson Alcott, Mr. Cyrus A. Bartol, Orchard House, and the North Bridge. This issue also contains: a six-page article about the Philadelphia Post-Office by E. A. Barber; a fiction story "Fauvre Elise," by Annie Howells Trechette; an installment of "Dust" by Julian Hawthorne; an installment of "Hot Plowshares" by Albion W. Tourgee; and a few other writings and poems. Pages are crisp and clean and have only a few fox spots along the folded edge. An uncommon find, in terrific shape.
