You will get an understanding of the importance of the world-famous Woolworth Building, the tallest building in the world for 17 years when it opened in 1913, and its unique role in the history of skyscrapers and the New York City skyline. The Woolworth Building is located in downtown Manhattan off City Hall Park, 233 Broadway.
Along with the magnificent lobby, which was granted Landmark status in 1983, this tour includes a look at the interesting lower level with an in-depth discussion of the key selling points of this speculative office building as well as some fascinating background about Frank W. Woolworth and Cass Gilbert, the architect. There will be time on the tour for you to take photographs and to ask questions.

- All tours are by pre-registration only. No walk-ins are allowed.
- Tours do not go to the tower or the roof. The observation deck has been closed for many years.
- There are no public restroom facilities.
- Tours will include stairs and significant time standing. No seating is available.
- The tour is wheelchair accessible, with elevator access to all areas of the tours.
- Photographs are allowed but flashes and videos are not permitted.
- No children under 10 may attend the tour.
