Date: All day workshop: Saturday, October 19. 9:00am-4:00pm
Class Description:
Developing and using an observational vocabulary for analyzing and evaluating artwork is essential to the development of each artist’s work. Terminology will be included throughout a group discussion of participant’s artwork to create confidence in their usage, and to apply them to future mark-making decisions.
Lugene Bruno Bio:
Hunt Institute Curator of Art Lugene Bruno oversees the research of, access to, and exhibitions selected from a collection of over 31,000 botanical artworks. She offers talks on site and at conferences. She also is a practicing artist working in the mediums of photography and drawing.
Carrie Roy Bio:
Hunt Institute Assistant Curator of Art Carrie Roy oversees the access to and research and exhibitions of a collection of over 31,000 artworks. She has worked as a curator, writer, and collections manager in a variety of art spaces in Pittsburgh and Colorado.

IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ:
A workshop space purchased through the auction with a winning bid may be purchased as a gift for an ASBA member but may not be resold. To use the workshop space, an individual must register for and attend the ASBA Silver Anniversary Annual Conference in Pittsburgh, Pa in October 2019.
In the event the winning bidder is not able to attend the conference for any reason and does not wish to give their space away, the base workshop fee will be refunded "if" the workshop space can be filled by a paying ASBA member from a waitlist. Any amount of the winning bid above the published value for that workshop will be retained as a donation to ASBA.
Any request to assign the space to another member or request a refund must be made by the close of conference registration.
