Item Description
West Street Tavern and Restaurant is a local neighborhood bar and restaurant located in Nonantum, a village of Newton, also known as “The Lake.” We are nestled in a neighborhood right off Watertown Street on West Street. We opened in July of 2008 after many months of renovations and redecorating. It has a traditional set up with the long bar on the left and the dining room on the right. We provide a comfortable and warm atmosphere from our decor all the way down to our friendly service and home-cooked meals.
When you walk through our doors, you are always bound to see someone you know. We pride ourselves on greeting and getting to know new customers and catching up with our regular customers. It’s a meeting place for good spirits, good times and good cheer.
Our Menu gives our customers a wide selection of American cuisine; from burgers and sandwiches to fish and chicken dishes. We are known throughout the neighborhood for our Marinated Steak, Turkey and Lamb Tips, Baked Scrod, and of course, our good pints of Guinness. There are daily lunch and dinner specials that add to our delicious menu options. We also have an extensive wine and cocktail list that changes with the season and compliments our entrees.
Every Saturday night we offer live entertainment that starts at 9 pm. Our customers usually come in for dinner and stay to watch one of our favorite singers perform. You might even see a few of our regular customers belting out a tune, having a sing along and even dancing. With our 4 flat screen HD TV’s, you will often times find our bar full of spectators watching their favorite sporting events.
