"INSTRUCTIONAL WORKSHOP: RELIEF CASTING IN PLASTER
To benefit the Spruce Street School, sculptor Lars Fisk will conduct a special workshop to teach kids (and parents) the WONDEROUS magic of casting plaster into sculptural relief tiles. The class will take place in the artist's Red Hook studio and invovle working with found plant matter, clay, and of course, LOTS OF GLEAMING WHITE PLASTER! Participants can expect the class to run about three hours, along with some exploration in the wild for plants and then... when the dust has settled, to bring home your very own plaster relief tile... MADE WITH YOUR OWN TWO HANDS! Restricted to max of 6 kids and 6 adults.
Lars Fisk is a celebrated artist represented by Marlborough Chelsea. He also ran the Socrates sculpture park in Long Island City where he held classes for children and their parents.
