The Head-Royce Center for Community Engagement (CCE), in partnership with Swim Across America, a national nonprofit dedicated to cancer research, is hosting a benefit swim on Sunday, March 31st from 9am - noon, at the Head-Royce pool. Funds raised from this school-wide community event will directly support cancer research and patient care at UCSF Benioff Children's Hospital Survivors of Childhood Cancer Program and the Swim Across America Pediatric Cancer Research Lab in Oakland.
The event is part of the School’s Bridge to 2022 initiative to create more opportunities for civic engagement between our students and local organizations and causes. This year, through Swim Across America, Head-Royce has connected to pediatric oncologists and cancer researchers from UCSF who will provide enriching presentations and classroom visits, orchestrated by the CCE.
Your bid will include a donation in your honor to either an individual swimmer involved in the fundraising campaign or to the whole Jayhawk team. It will also demonstrate your support of the CCE and its effort to provide enriching opportunities for our students.
The pool swim will have something for every level of swimmer K-12, including, giant floatie races for the younger set and water polo shoot-out competition and relays races in all strokes. Olympic athletes and UCSF doctors will be on campus to support the participants in their goal!

$500 donation to the swimmer of your choice, or Jayhawks Swim Across America team
Special meet and greet with a Swim Across America Olympic athlete
A Swim Across America backpack, mug, towel, swim cap, baseball cap and two t-shirts
