Ready to fulfill your veggie garden dreams? 

Up for bidding is a $50 gift card for Van Winden's Garden Center in Napa plus four (4) hours of help from garden pro Gemme Von Knopka:

1. Gemme will meet with bidder, assess the site, make suggestions, and draw a vegetable garden plan (1 hour)
2. Gemme will work 3 hours to install your vegetable garden (planting out plants and/or putting up garden structures only -- see restrictions below)

Gemme Von Knopka has worked at Mustards Restaurant as the vegetable gardener and currently is the vegetable gardener for Lou Penning Landscapes designing and maintaining vegetable gardens for clients. Last year she won Gardenista's Best Edible Garden of 2018.

Van Winden's Garden Center is a two-acre amusement park for horticulture enthusiasts. It offers close to 300 varieties of roses, a mini-forest of Japanese maple and other trees, rows of annual and perennial bedding plants and vegetable starts and a 3000 sq.ft. greenhouse packed with houseplants. There is also statuary, pottery, outdoor furniture, a range of gardening accessories and a gift shop filled with gifts and home décor.

Restrictions:

• Garden plan, advice, and planting is for vegetable garden only and not for any other garden needs or questions.
• Bidder is responsible for soil prep and site prep before planting. (The 3 hours of garden labor is for planting vegetable garden only; clearing weeds, adding compost and fertilizers are all up to winning bidder beforehand.)
• Bidder is responsible for all financial costs of plants, soil, and materials. ($50 gift card from Van Winden's may be used toward these items.)
• Consultation date to be arranged between winning bidder and Gemme Von Knopka. Suggested months to plant summer garden are April-May; meeting would most likely need to be on a weekend. Gemme is unavailable the following dates: April 12-14, April 19-21.
• Expiration date: March 21, 2020.

Gift card is not redeemable for cash, and if lost, stolen, or destroyed cannot be replaced.

Winning bidders located in Northern California may pick up their items at Stone Bridge School in Napa from Tuesday, March 26 to Friday, April 12, 2019, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Note that the school will be closed for spring break from April 15-19.) Items not picked up by April 12 will be mailed to the winning bidder, and purchaser is responsible for shipping and insurance costs. (Gift cards and gift certificates ship for free.)

Items purchased by bidders residing outside of Northern California will be shipped on or around Tuesday, March 26, unless you tell us that you do wish to pick up your item. Purchaser is responsible for shipping and insurance costs. (Gift cards and gift certificates ship for free.) Please contact us at sbspcauction@gmail.com by March 25 if you plan to pick up.

Stone Bridge School and SBS Parent Council are not responsible for items lost or damaged during shipping.
