Saint Francis & the Birds Water Color Collage
This gorgeous water color painting collage was created by the second grade students to reflect the well known story of Saint Francis and the Birds, told during a "Heroes, Saints and Sages" main lesson block back in November.
Students first created 29 beautiful color paintings, then the paintings were torn up into small pieces and sorted by color. Next, each small piece of paper was individually glued onto a very large, 30" x 40" sheet of heavy-duty art paper to create the famous image of Francis of Assisi and the miracle of the birds. The resulting stained glass window-like scene was then framed in a recycled wooden frame under a sheet of glass.
This piece of artwork will be on display in the second grade classroom through the duration of the auction. We welcome you to stop by and take a look!

Winning bidders may pick up their items or certificates for items at Stone Bridge School in Napa from Tuesday, March 26 to Friday, April 12, 2019, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Note that the school will be closed for spring break from April 15-19.) Items not picked up by April 12 will be mailed to the winning bidder, and purchaser is responsible for shipping and insurance costs. (Gift cards and certificates ship for free.)
