Item Description

Limited Production Napa Valley Cabs, 4 Bottles

Here's your chance to have four bottles of limited production, cellar-worthy Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon all in one lot!

La Pelle 2016 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon: The La Pelle Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is comprised of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon grapes that hail from two vineyard sources; one within the Coombsville appellation and the other in St. Helena. The wine was aged in 50% new French Oak barrels for 18 months. Vibrant with dark tones, the wine is powerful with well-integrated tannins and has a great sense of freshness backed by natural acidity and a lengthy finish. 225 CASES PRODUCED

Herb Lamb Vineyards 2015 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon: Our 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon vintage was exceptional. The smaller clusters from cooler weather at set resulted in highly intensified flavors which gave the wine more structure. This wine radiates with the typical characters of our terroir; sweet red and blue fruits in the nose, and on the pallet licorice and crushed herbs, cassis, red currents, dried cherry, Bakers chocolate, blueberries and black raspberries, with exceptional depth and structure. The 2015 HL Cabernet Sauvignon is big, bold, fruit forward and expressive and is one of the most masculine wines we have ever seen from the vineyard. It is layered and focused. A jewel of a wine to set aside for a few years. 270 CASES PRODUCED.

Karl Lawrence 2016 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon: The drought continued to keep yields low in 2016. Better early growing conditions coupled with a season of even temperatures produced high quality fruit. The tannins are full on the palate producing a full-bodied wine with finesse and a long and sexy finish. This vintage is 95.34% Cabernet Sauvignon blended with 3.23% Cabernet Franc, 0.98% Merlot, 0.29% Petite Sirah, 0.13% Petit Verdot, 0.01% Malbec, and 0.01% Lagrein. 220 CASES PRODUCED.

Middle of the Field 2007 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon: The Eltern Vineyard is the source for this vineyard designate wine. A 10 acre rocky hillside overlooking the bay in the heart of the Coombsville Appellation. My Family and I have been growing grapes and making wine from this Field for almost 30 years. Interceding only when necessary, the vineyard is able to speak for itself. The fruit was hand picked, sorted and cold soaked prior to fermentation. The wine was aged partially sur lie in 40% new French and Hungarian cooperage. Barrel aged for 30 months then bottled unfined and unfiltered. This wine was wound tight, but has evolved to perfection over the past 10 year and is now ready to be enjoyed. 216 CASES PRODUCED.

La Pelle: From the shovel’s first plunge into the vineyard soil, to its last scrape of the fermentation tank, La Pelle wines are equally crafted in the vineyard and in the cellar and are a true collaboration between farmer and winemaker. We believe that wine is made equally in the vineyard and in the winery. In the vineyards, we focus on older well-established vines with natural balance. In the cellar we work to capture what the vines give us…to make wines that exude freshness, bright acidity, complexity, and depth.

Herb Lamb Vineyards: It seems like only yesterday that we arrived at our seven-acres in the foothills of Howell Mountain in St. Helena with big dreams. The rocky hillside, ranging from 600 to 800 feet in elevation, was cleared and wide terraces were graded in preparation for planting. Our dreams have become a reality — we've just recently celebrated 25 years of grape growing in the Napa Valley.

With much encouragement, we took the leap from grape grower to wine brand in 1997 when we produced our first 50 cases of HL Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon to rave reviews. We chose winemaker Micheal Trujillo to help craft our wines and have been blessed with his expertise ever since. Sustainable with minimum intervention, our vineyard is farmed with respect for the land and animals who inhabit it. We now produce more than 300 cases of HL Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon annually from the same few rows of our north-east facing hillside estate vineyard, and pride ourselves on offering distinctive wines year after year.

Karl Lawrence: Smaller batches mean greater quality control. When you purchase a bottle of Karl Lawrence, you're not paying for a heavy bottle, extravagant facility, or a marketing staff. You're paying for a bottle of great wine. We've operated as a word of mouth winery for twenty-five years because of our loyal customers. And we are loyal in return. We can keep the price down as long as they continue to spread the good word.

Middle of the Field: Family grown, family made. Here we strive to produce wines with soul - wines that express the field where the grapes grew. We believe the only way to truly make great wine is to have an extensive rapport with the field. To this end we carry out every action by hand, personally. This intimacy and love for the land allows our family to grow intense, dynamic fruit. Our winemaking ethos accentuates the flavors and characteristics already present in the grapes to make wines with balance, finesse and complexity.
