The Quarry Project is a site-specific dance/theatre piece being created for the Wells Lamson quarry, the oldest, deepest granite quarry in the country, now flooded and "in reserve." It is situated in the small village of Websterville, VT (near Barre). Many of its residents had relatives who worked in that quarry for Rock of Ages, the long-time owner and leader in the granite quarrying industry. In October 2017, permission was granted to proceed with the making of The Quarry Project by the new owners, Polycor, a Quebec-based stone corporation.
