Counseling Services:
I have been in private practice for over 25 years and I specialize in working with adults adolescents and couples regarding concerns with anxiety, depression, adjustment difficulties, stress, OCD and other emotional issues.
I also do marriage counseling and work with each couple to determine core relationship issues; each couple works with me to solve the problems and learn positive and healthy communication/ relationship skills.
Hypnosis Services:
Hypnosis is a collaborative process between the client and the therapist who induces a trance during which the client is more receptive to suggestions. Trance is not sleep but is a deeply relaxed state. The client emerges very relaxed and often has no sense of the trance but does experience a shift toward desired results.
Smoking cessation and weight loss are both very successfully treated with hypnosis: one session is often sufficient for smoking cessation.
Approach and Style:
I am a very interactive therapist and believe that the client/ therapist relationship is critical to facilitating healing and empowerment. My approach is one of listening, support and problem solving with the idea that each person has a unique, inner compass or voice . My job is to help each person discover and honor this compass for continued development. I consider it a privilege to be a guide and mentor to individual growth and am always honored by the trust given to me by my clients.
