Item Description

Calling all future babysitters!! Are you looking for a fun day to acquire practical hands-on skills to be a qualified and competent babysitter? Do you want to feel comfortable to know what to do if a child chokes, has a cut, hits their head, has a burn, or stops breathing? Then this is the right event for you! Come to this fun Count-Me-In event led by Pediatric Intensive Care Physician Dr. Deb Franzon Frederick.

During this fun interactive course, based on the American Red Cross and American Heart Association Basic Life Support and childcare safety content, Dr Deb will guide a lucky group of girls through all the steps needed to save a life. After this course, your daughter will know the basic steps of CPR, how to use an AED, identify the signs of choking and perform the Heimlich maneuver, in addition to gaining the competency and confidence to care for children of all ages!

Finish off your day with a trip down to Cole Valley's Ice Cream Bar for a tasty frozen treat to celebrate your accomplishments! Lunch will be provided.
