About the Design:
Danish secretaries were the rage in the 1950s and 60's due to the high degree of functionality. Featuring large drawers on the bottom and smaller drawers on top, the idea was to allow people to expand their storage space with great design. Additional features included a pull-out desktop for working or to be used as a dressing table.
With the design flexibility, the secretary works as a desk, dressing table, dresser, entryway piece or dining room storage. This allows for a lifetime of use as the secretary can be moved around the house based on changing needs.
About the Product:
Storage, functionality and design blend brilliantly in this secretary. The three lower drawers have eye-popping hand carved handles which show the attention to detail and craftsmanship. With three upper drawers for smaller items as well as open storage, you have a lot of flexibility. The pull-out desk easily extends outward making this a great work station or storage unit.

This item must be picked up at the Danish Seamen’s Church in Brooklyn Heights, New York no later than April 30, 2019, during our opening hours or be shipped at the bidder's own expense. Shipping expenses will automatically be charged to the credit card on file. After July 1, 2019 unclaimed items will be transferred to next year’s auction.
