Item Description
A one hour tour for up to six participants (children welcome) of the scientific laboratories of the Met. Participants will see how advanced scientific techniques, such as electron microscopy and x-ray spectroscopy are used to study works of art, determine their authenticity, and assist their conservation. The tour will be led by Dr. Marco Leona, head of the Department of Scientific Research at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
