The top of the drum is made of Bubinga, sometimes called African rose wood, a very dense wood that creates a very pleasing sound. The sides are made of domestic Ash used for its active grain patterns as well as sound quality, and the bottom is Poplar.
The Tongues are cut to lengths that create major minor tones, producing a pleasant sound. The drum is fun and easy for anyone to play.
