- Children sessions are tailored to fit their specific needs to grow in the martial art of Wing Chun. They will learn how to build on our core principles at the school of power, speed and technique through discipline and focus. Your child will be taught various forms and exercises that is the foundation to Wing Chun.
- Also unique to our children system is the mini Mook Jong (WoodenDummy), which is 1/3 of the original size and padded. Mook Jong training is a series of forms that the student learns in sequence.They are given the building blocks of Wing Chun just like the ABCs. From there, they can use their creativity and develop sequences oftheir own using the fundamentals of forms they will learn.
- This training develops great hand sensitivity and coordination at a young age. Your child will have the opportunity to build their reflexes and agility in their hand and arm movements.
- US Wing Chun was founded in 1955 by Grandmaster Chris Chan. He was an early student of Grandmaster Ip Man from Hong Kong to bring Wing Chun to San Francisco. Grandmaster Chan started with humble roots of training people out of garages all over San Francisco until the school found a home in the Sunset district. Today, the US Wing Chun Kung Fu Academy has trained thousands of students and has expanded to teach corporate locations, gyms and other locations around the world. Our children classes have been continually in development for the past 15 years.
