Item Description
Collectible Surgi doll by Arlette Ngung: I used acrylic/wool yarn to knit the sweater, merino wool fabric to sew the top and shorts, white sportswear trim to embroider the words “Brave Heart” “You got this” and a pool float to create the feeding tube.
The hand knitted sweater brings comfort,warmth. Every knitting stitches are intertwined together like every cells in our body.
The embroidered scar and feeding tube show bravery and strength.
The words “Brave Heart” & “You got this” are there to encourage.
The colours green and yellow represent hope, happiness, positivity, renewal...

Driven, meticulous, fascinated by textures, and a graduate from FIT in New York, Formamod in Paris; Arlette worked as a technical designer/ patternmaker for luxurious brands (BCBG, Saks Fifth Ave, Bloomingdales etc...)
She is now exploring the merging world of fashion, textile and art through her own textile art practice.
