Nine Day “This Cuban Life Tour” for Two
This small group tour, twelve people maximum, of the western provinces makes travel easy, including Havana, Viñales, Cienfuegos, Trinidad and cities in-between.
This is a fantastic introduction to Cuba that gets you out of Havana and into the Vinales Valley, with its gorgeous landscapes and friendly locals. Stroll the romantic sea wall in Cienfuegos, a city with French influence, and spend time in Trinidad with its colorful buildings and cobblestone streets.
The focus of this tour is to learn about ordinary life in Cuba and how individuals are impacted by the government, social structure, and the embargo. You’ll learn about Cuba’s proud and patriotic culture, its tumultuous history, its thriving arts scene and burgeoning entrepreneurial spirit. You’ll meet with locals from different walks of life and learn about family life as well as the challenges Cubans face in getting access to necessities, comforts and the ingenious ways they’ve developed to get what they need.
The tour begins and ends in Havana and includes an airport arrival transfer to Havana, 8 nights comfort class bed and breakfast accommodations, private air-conditioned transportation, all breakfasts, 5 lunches and 4 dinners, an English-speaking Cuban guide, gratuities for driver, as well as cultural activities while on the island.
You must have a valid passport and tourist visa – which can be purchased through your airline, as well as mandatory medical insurance. Medical insurance generally costs between $36 and $63. Insurance is included in airfare for direct flights to Cuba from the U.S.
Not included with this tour is airfare to and from Havana, tourist visas, airport departure transfer, 2 lunches, 4 dinners, drinks and guide gratuities. Valid through March 2021 on any guaranteed tour December – April, excluding specialty holiday tours in December. Reservations must be made at least 14 days in advance, subject to availability.
