Infrared Room Project: Stained Glass Plates

Item Description
The Infrared students worked with our neighbor, Almost Perfect Glass, to create two large decorative glass plates. Each student designed a tile using cut glass, glass pellets and glass shavings. Dan Maher, owner of DM Stained Glass, fused the tiles together in a manner similar to a stained glass window. Dan then placed each plate into a mold to create shallow square bowls. The resulting plates are breathtaking! Thank you to Susan and Andy Magdanz for generously offering the use of your studio, and a big shout out to Dan Maher for orchestrating the wonderful project.
