Item Description
It's nostalgia; it's family fun; it's first-class entertainment! If you're the high bidder on this item, you'll win two passes, each valid to admit one regular size car, to the historic Mendon Twin Drive-In Theater, in that little town of Mendon, MA!
The beloved Andelman brothers of Phantom Gourmet purchased the Mendon Twin Drive-In in the winter of 2014. Having been to the drive-in as children, they’re excited to continue the tradition of movies, food and fun, with two first-run movies played on the two biggest movie screens in the state. The Mendon Twin Drive-in was built in 1953 and opened June 14, 1954. A second movie screen was added in 1998. It’s now a New England institution and one of the top drive-ins in the country, sitting on nearly sixteen acres of beautiful, tree-lined land. The projection booth is equipped with the latest digital projection and Dolby Digital sound, ensuring our customers the most pleasant movie experience. The sound is broadcast over the radio in your car. We’re a family oriented business, featuring family friendly entertainment at an affordable price. The snack bar is decorated in nostalgic fashion. Unlike most theaters, we pop the popcorn fresh on premises and our food is served hot and delicious. We serve tasty pretzels, nachos, burgers, fried dough, popcorn chicken, pizza, and French fries. For the sweet tooth, we have an ice cream window with soft serve cups, cones, and sundaes. We also feature Richie’s Slush and ice cold soda. In 2014, we added Pop’s Beer Garden, a 5000 square foot patio that offers 6 draft beers, wines by the glass, fire pits, plenty of seating, and a view of Screen One. We hope to see you soon, enjoying movies under the stars, making memories to last a lifetime.
