Find inspiration in the art of Hilma Af Klint and the poetry of Mary Oliver, two iconic women artists. Inspired by art but at a loss for where your colored pencils or paint brushes have gone? Wishing you could write poetry instead of grocery lists? Using the mystical drawings of Hilma Af Klint and the poetry of Mary Oliver as inspiration, come explore the intersection of art and poetry with us!

Artist Hilma af Klint, a contemporary of Rudolf Steiner, died in 1944 believing the world was not yet ready for her art. Only in recent decades has her work gained notoriety as Klint's radically abstract painting practice predates the work of artists widely considered trailblazers of modernist abstraction.

Mary Oliver’s poetry focused on the quiet of occurrences of nature and won numerous awards, including the Pulitzer Prize, the National Book Award and a Lannan Literary Award for lifetime achievement.

Thank you Any Kortus, Humanities teacher and Laura Guinan, Art teacher and HS Chair!

We would like to thank our sponsors....
