Craft Whiskey and Gin
Tamar Distillery uses ancient methods learned by senior distiller Crispin Cain during a lengthy apprenticeship with a brandy master from Cognac, Hubert Germain-Robin.
Crispin applies the old double distillation method used in Cognac for over 500 years to make Low Gap Whiskey, and all their products. This allows him to select only the heart of the spirit to save for aging, blending, and drinking, lending a particularly high quality to the finished products. You will receive:
Three 750ml bottles of Low Gap 3 year Blended Whiskey: Low gap has been named Whiskey Advocate’s “Artisan Whiskey of the Year”. Crispin Cain is a master at extracting soft, clean, rich, pure, and wondrous flavor. Malted corn and barley. Aged in used Van Winkle barrels and new Missouri oak bourbon barrels. Amazingly mellow.
One 750ml bottle Russell Henry Gin, distilled with Malaysian Lime: Craft-method infusion/distillation with the actual leaves and fruit of limau purut, a flavorful lime native to Malaysia.
One 750ml bottle Russell Henry Dark Gin: Soft, intense, long; the distinctive flavors and aromas of the London Dry have married into a superbly rich bouquet and a deep complexity. 96 points from the Ultimate Spirits Challenge. One of the darkest gins you’ll encounter, pouring a deep amber in the glass. Aromas of caramel and vanilla give way to spiced, herbal character. Pine and roses shine through.
One 750ml bottle Russell Henry Gin, London Dry: Extraordinarily appealing gin. Very smooth, very rich. The botanical mix is Crispin Cain's secret, but includes juniper, coriander, orris root, and lemon peel. The old cognac still lends its usual focused delicacy to the flavor.
