Item Description
Up for bid is an early set of Pyrex’s popular “World’s Most Famous Mixing Bowl Set.” This is the primary color set that we have all come to love. This is one of the first sets manufactured as it does NOT have the model numbers of 401, 402, 403, and 404 stamped on the bottom. The stamping has PYREX in all capital letters in the middle with T.M. REG. arched above it and U.S. PAT. OFF. in a downward curve below it. All enclosed in a ring around it. This set originally retailed for $2.50 when it was introduced in 1945. The condition of this bowl set is excellent and rates 9 out of 10. These bowls are lightly used and HAVE the high gloss finish which many sets unfortunately lose due to dishwasher cleaning. Add these to your Mid-Century Modern décor today!
