Item Description
The 2nd graders are experts in fluid acrylic art, after spending the last month creating 4 “dirty” pour pieces. Each student chose two colors from a selection of acrylic paints, to mix in a cup. They then mixed the colors with silicon and chose an area on the canvas to “flip” their cup. After the paint dripped down the inside of the cup, the student pulled the cup off the canvas, allowing the colors to flow out in unique patterns of circular cells and lines. The canvas was then moved in many directions to allow the paint to flow off the canvas. The kids then watched as air bubbles were removed with heat from a torch. After a week of drying, the piece was then coated with acrylic resin to create a high gloss finish. Each class completed one 20” x 20” fluid acrylic art piece.
Item Special Note
*The 4 individual pieces will be available to bid on separately the event, they are not a set.*
