Item Description
Upon arrival at Opaque, you will be welcomed into a chic and stylish lounge where you will meet with the hostess. He or she will provide you with a brief explanation of the Dining in the Dark concept before introducing that evening’s choice pre fixe menu. We encourage guests to discuss any dietary restrictions or food allergies with the hostess at this time. We will check your coat or bag as you don't need anything except for your senses.
Once you have placed your order, you will be personally guided into the darkened dining room. We will seat you in a pitch-black dining room where you will be guided and served by blind or visually impaired individuals that have been specially trained to serve meals in the dark, casually and comfortably offering guidance and reassurance for sighted guests. Special security measures are taken to ensure that your experience is both safe and enjoyable.
Whether you have been seen enough and want to hide in the dark, or just want to experience dining on a higher level – Opaque, Dining in the Dark, caters to the senses and a deeper consciousness. This is not just a meal, but a truly unique and sensual experience.

The winning bidder may pick up items at Bridges Academy starting on Wedesday, May 1st from 9-10am or 2-3pm in Lisa Herz’s office.
Items that need to be mailed such as gift cards/certificates will be sent via USPS.
If you win an item and would like it mailed via certified insured mail, please email lisa.herz@bridges.edu by May 3rd and we will do so at your expense.
Items too large for regular postal service will be shipped at the winning bidder's expense. Shipping charges for USPS Flat Rate Boxes are as follows: $8 for small boxes, $13 for medium boxes, $18 for large boxes. We will try to use the smallest package size we can. In the event that your item requires additional postage you will be notified and your card will be charged.
