Item Description
You are bidding on one month of free classes for a new youth, teen or adult student.
Aikido of Santa Cruz is a non-profit, public benefit, educational organization, serving the community since 1982. We welcome sincere students of any race, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, religion, or ethnic background. Our Chief Instructor is Linda Holiday Sensei, 6th degree black belt and author of Journey to the Heart of Aikido.
The founder of Aikido, Morihei Ueshiba O-Sensei (1883-1969) envisioned Aikido as a multifaceted training of body, mind, and spirit in the principles of harmony, natural movement, and "the spirit of love and protection for all." As Aikido emphasizes inner strength rather than physical strength, it is accessible to all ages and body types. Women and men train together in an atmosphere of mutual respect and support. Aikido practice is empowering, fun, and inspiring for everyone - ages 6 & up. Visitors are always welcome to watch classes. Join the Beginners Classes at any time!
