Fresh, vibrant and beautifully delineated, the 2014 speaks to energy above all else. Floral notes from the Cabernet Franc give the wine its aromatic intensity and lift, but at the same time, the wine is weightless, precise and lifted. The 2014 could use another few years in bottle. Today, it is brisk and finely cut, not to mention striking in its beauty."
Accompanying this magnum is a tasting for four people at Favia Erickson Winegrowers in Napa. At their historic, 6.5 acre property, you'll taste wines that are a collaboration between Annie Favia and Andy Erickson. Their philosophy is simple: create soulful wines that express the true nature of the vineyards from which they come. Favia and Erickson focus on finding unique vineyard sites with soils, climate and aspects ideal for growing exquisite wine grapes, and develop strong relationships with winegrowers to perfect viticultural practices. Gentle handling, minimal intervention, and strict monitoring of the wine allow their grapes to speak for themselves.
