Item Description
A table for four (4) to one of Arturo's hot Birdland shows this summer. You decide which Sunday show you'd like to attend; Arturo and his Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra will take it from there!
You and your guests can choose any of Arturo's shows at Birdland, which occur just about every Sunday evening at 9pm. Then, after the first set Arturo will greet you and your guests!
About The Afro Latin Jazz Orchestra: The resident large format ensemble of the nonprofit Afro Latin Jazz Alliance (ALJA), the Orchestra was founded by Arturo O'Farrill in 2007 and is dedicated to preserving the music and heritage of big band Latin jazz, supporting its performance for new audiences, and educating young people in the understanding and performance of this important cultural treasure.
About the venue: Charlie Parker, familiarly known to his fans and fellow musicians as “Bird,” served as the inspiration for Birdland. When the original Birdland opened seventy years ago in December of 1949, Charlie Parker was the headliner and the club was located on Broadway, a block west of the 52nd Street scene, which was a hotbed of jazz in the 1930s and 40s. After a stint uptown on 105th and Broadway, Birdland is today located at 315 West 44th Street, west of 8th Avenue.

Item Special Note
This opportunity will provide you with a table for four (4) to a Sunday evening show at Birdland to see Arturo O'Farrill perform. Your cover charges will be waived. Food and drink is not included in this package. The names of the four guests will need to be provided to the venue at least 3 days in advance of the show you would like to see. Winners are to email auhrlass@thirdstreetmusicschool.org who will facilitate the arrangements.
Item certificate may be picked up the night of the Gala, mailed via USPS, or picked up at Third Street Music School after May 7 and until June 1 between the hours of 9:30 am and 5:30 pm or by appointment. Items expire a year from the auction close unless otherwise noted.
