Item Description

Winner of the Artist’s International Young Artist Piano Award while at Juilliard (resulting in her New York debut at Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall), pianist Mira Gill's will add to her long list of noteworthy performance venues -- your home! 

With at least 6 weeks notice, Mira will play a 30-45 minutes concert in your home, and could play longer with 8 weeks notice. You must live in either the five boroughs of NYC or Long Island, Connecticut, or New Jersey.

A native of Salt Lake City, pianist Mira Armij Gill received Bachelor and Master of Music Degrees from the Juilliard School where she studied with John Browning and Yoheved Kaplinsky. She has performed in solo recitals and with orchestras throughout the U.S. and abroad including her critically acclaimed performance with the Utah Symphony under the baton of Joseph Silverstein. Ms. Gill also debuted at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall as winner of the Artists International Young Artists Piano Award. Ms. Gill has appeared on KBYU Radio and KSL Radio and Television and was the featured artist for the Bi-Annual Gala of the Luxembourg-American Chamber of Commerce in the presence of H.R.H. Crown Prince Guillaume and Princess Stephanie of Luxembourg. Ms. Gill was a contributor to the documentary Memories of John Browning, the Lhevinne Legacy Continues, produced by Arkatov Productions, which includes excerpts from her CD demonstrating his influence on her playing. In 2013, Ms. Gill was featured in a short documentary about her life as a pianist and teacher entitled From Talking to Playing, produced by Agricolamedia. Since 2004, Ms. Gill performs annual solo recitals each summer in Maine and Canada. She performs each year on Mu Phi Epsilon concerts and in 2012 was presented in recital as the NYC Alumni Chapter's Distinguished Artist. A resident of New York, Ms. Gill served on the piano faculty of the Turtle Bay Music School for 12 years and served as Resident Teaching Artist at SAYA! (South Asian Youth Action) where she established and developed a thriving piano program in Elmhurst, New York. Currently, Ms. Gill is a member of the piano faculty at the Third Street Music School while maintaining a busy private studio.

Item Special Note

Item certificate may be picked up the night of the Gala, mailed via USPS, or picked up at Third Street Music School after May 7 and until June 1 between the hours of 9:30 am and 5:30 pm or by appointment. Items expire a year from the auction close unless otherwise noted.
