Item Description
Simsbury Tobacco Barns in gauche on watercolor paper. The painting is 5x7 framed to 11x14.
Ruth, an emerging artist, lives and paints in Traverse City, Michigan. Her primary medium is oil, but she also creates using gouache, watercolor, ink and graphite. For Ruth, each painting offers a new opportunity to capture the beauty and spirit of the landscape. Her style continues to evolve as she explores the many elements of art, new subjects and oil painting.
Painting with the Plein Air Painters of Northwest Michigan has allowed Ruth to continue to experience the joy and challenge of plein air painting she first had working with Andrew Petrov in Provence, France.
Ruth's paintings have been selected for many juried shows and have been exhibited in Grand Traverse Area art centers and galleries. Ruth is a member of the Oil Painters of America and several art centers.
