Wine has had a long history of being served as an accompaniment to food – but it has become more than just cheese and crackers. Somewhere between art and science, chefs are making it their mission to create love connections from glass to plate. More than merely trotting out whites with chicken and reds with meat, these are carefully-designed matches that complement (or sometimes contrast) the fruit, acid, and tannins of every type of wine.
Join Master wine collector, Jason Trulby and Chef Matthew Kailher for a one-of-a kind evening of wine and food pairings, in the home of Joe and Laura Wagner. For over twenty years Master wine collector Jason Trulby has been adding to his private collection of wines and will share with six guests some of his favorite reserved and hard to find wines from his personal wine cellar from Napa and beyond totaling between $1500-$2000. If that’s not enough… Chef Matthew Kailher will purchase artisanal ingredients, custom-create, and prepare a gourmet pairing menu on site. Each course will intricately paired with each of Jason’s personal selections.
So skip the water crackers and spit buckets and gear up for multi-course lineups. This is the hottest reservation in town. Dinner will be held on Saturday, October 27th.
