The winner of this auction is entitled to one custom art preservation, including labor and materials. I use 100% non-toxic, food-safe (FDA-approved), crystal clear, UV-protective, non-yellowing epoxy resin to preserve children’s art as plates, platters, place mats, coasters, art boards, work surfaces… whatever you can think up. Celebrate and preserve a memento from this uniquely creative time in your child's life by turning it into a beautiful, sturdy, functional, and non-crumbly heirloom to be enjoyed for years to come. Imagine that vinyl record covered in glitter as a dazzling place mat, or the large tempera painting as a mobile work surface to draw, build, and do puzzles on. This is a custom service offered by a Buen Dia parent who has developed his own method* of art preservation out of personal desperation and a deep love and respect for the art that children make in preschool. If you win this item, we’ll work together to envision a design and function that values the effort and creativity your child put into their art, resulting in a lasting reminder of these creative Buen Dia years.

While I do my best to research and test materials and processes to ensure that artworks don’t dissolve or break down during preservation, nothing is 100% guaranteed. For example, rubber is particularly unstable during the resin curing process (it’s only happened to me once, but oh, that rubber band project will haunt me!). So, we may run tests or find another piece to preserve if there are too many unknown materials and the possibility of damage seems high.

All shipping charges will be refunded once you pick this item up from Buen Dia Family School, M-F 8:30am-5:30pm. All items must be picked up at 589 Guerrero Street, San Francisco by May 31, 2019. Items not claimed by this date will be donated.

Tangible Items can not be shipped and must be picked up at Buen Dia Family School.
