This summer join Get Lit’s Summer Camp to learn the art of film.

Through this program, filmmakers ages 14-18 will learn to produce an original music video, collaborate with other young filmmakers from across Los Angeles, and meet professionals from the creative industry.

The program will meet Monday - Friday, 2pm to 5pm, for two weeks: July 22 - August 2, 2019. Students will learn the aesthetics of cinematography and editing while developing their skills as visual storytellers. As part of the process, students will learn how to write treatments and pitch their ideas, collaborate with other young filmmakers, and see a project through to completion. We’ll celebrate their work with a music video release party on the last day of camp — family and friends will be invited and food will be served! This is an incredible opportunity and we can’t wait to see what LA’s talented young filmmakers have to say!

We ask that the student filmmakers commit to all 10 days of this 2-week summer camp. The workshops will be held at Get Lit Headquarters, 672 La Fayette Park Place, #30, Los Angeles, CA 90057.

Our film programs have grown out of our spoken-word and literacy-focused non-profit, Get Lit - Words Ignite. Our engaging, educational setting is a fantastic place to develop not only an artistic voice but also the professionalism needed to succeed in the 21st Century workplace. Item Special Note

All items not taken home at the end of the Gala on May 10th will be available for pickup at the Larchmont Charter Administrative Office, 444 N. Larchmont Blvd., #207, Los Angeles, CA 90004 on Tuesday, May 14 from 9am - 2pm and on Wednesday, May 15 from 9am - 2pm.

If you are not local or are not able to pick up your items on May 14th or 15th, please make alternate arrangements for pick up by emailing us at gala@larchmontcharter.org.

Bidder is responsible for a shipping and handling fee (gift certificates can be shipped for free by arrangement) which will be added to the winning bid amount. Items will be shipped via UPS or USPS, and billed at standard industry rates.
