Item Description
Oil on Canvas, 20" x 30"
I have been forever fascinated by the way the pocket beaches and coves north of Santa Cruz change with the season, sometimes drastically after one single storm. I painted this canvas on a blustery day after one such storm. The waves were just overtopping the berm and I observed the changing shapes, patterns, and colors of the water moving on the sand and the deep shadows cast by the bluff I was standing on.
