Item Description
Please join the Chicago Rebild National Park Society on Sunday, August 4th, to see the musical "Come From Away." It is set in the week following the September 11 attacks and tells the true story of what transpired when 38 planes were ordered to land unexpectedly in the small town of Gander in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, as part of Operation Yellow Ribbon. The characters in the musical are based on (and in most cases share the names of) real Gander residents as well as some of the 7,000 stranded travelers they housed and fed.
Dress Circle tickets are at the back of the main floor, elevated.
Item Special Note
There's a Danish-American connection via the donor's daughter, Berrit Keller, who served as a production intern on Broadway as the tour rehearsed. Please see the attached picture of the cast and staff. Berrit is pictured on the far right. Beverley Bass is seated in the middle. One of the main characters featured in the musical was based on Beverley Bass, American Airlines' first female captain.
