Roy Blount Jr. is the author of 24 books, about (for instance) the Pittsburgh Steelers, what barnyard animals are thinking, Duck Soup, Robert E. Lee, the first woman president of the United States, and, most recently, the alphabet. He is an ex-president of the Authors Guild, a panelist on NPR’s Wait, Wait, Don’t Tell Me, a New York Public Library Literary Lion, and a member of the Fellowship of Southern Writers. He lives in western Massachusetts and New Orleans.
