With this unique item, we are giving you the power to defend the potential of a local child and provide professional match support for 10 matches. There are so many children in St. Johns County that could benefit from our 1:1 mentoring program. We are asking for a monetary donation to provide professional match support for up to 10 matches. Our Match Support Specialists ensure child safety, positive impacts for youth, constructive and satisfying relationships between children and volunteers, and a strong sense of affiliation with BBBS on the part of volunteers.
Mentoring, at its core, guarantees young people that there is someone who cares about them, assures them they are not alone in dealing with day-to-day challenges, and makes them feel like they matter. Help us ignite the potential of our areas youth.
Research confirms that quality mentoring relationships have powerful positive effects on young people in a variety of personal, academic, and professional situations. Ultimately, mentoring connects a young person to personal growth and development, and social and economic opportunity. Yet one in three young people will grow up without this critical asset.
