Item Description
Art Nouveau nude maiden at a waterfall in polychrome bronze by Lucien Alliot.
Born in 1877 he was a student of Louis Ernest Barrias and Jules Felix Coutan and was well known for his figurative sculptures.
Titled 'La Source' (the Spring) this piece was produced around 1910.
Interesting fact: La Source is a ballet made for New York City Ballet by its founding balletmaster (and co-founder) George Balanchine. The premiere took place on November 23, 1968, at the New York State Theater, Lincoln Center.

In very good condition. This piece was acquired around 1930's from the original owner, in her collection for decades.
