Item Description
Wear a little piece of Kentucky! Made from the glass of a Wild Turkey bottle. Pieces were hand painted and fused (or melted) together in a kiln at nearly 1,500 degrees. Reminiscent of Kentucky’s blue grass, the glass is painted blue, with a subtle shadow of a fern and is wrapped in hammered copper wire. A 20” snake chain is included.
Bio:
Beth Hood Wood grew up in South Western PA in the shadow of the Allegheny Mountains, and was always interested in creating. After moving to Kentucky nearly 40 years ago, she dabbled in many crafts from needlework to hand painting furniture. “I jumped from one craft to another, but I never could find anything one thing that held my attention very long. Even as a child I had a fascination for glass and had colored bottles lining my window sill. I Finally took a class in stained glass which led me to glass mosaics, and eventually to my real love, glass fusing. After more than 9 years of fusing I find glass more fascinating than ever. “
