Item Description
You are bidding on the first week of BAX's popular Summer Arts Program which runs July 1-5 (no session July 4) for students entering Kindergarten through 6th grade.
At BAX, we foster creativity, encourage exploration, and provide a positive and nurturing environment. Our Summer Arts Program draws from our year-round education programs to provide young artists with opportunities to explore different forms of art and performance each week while working towards an informal week-end performance or gallery. Guest arts specialists teach daily workshops, while a well-trained staff of group leaders and counselors support indoor and outdoor creative play and performance activities.
EXPLORATORY THEMES OF WEEK 1:
Free to Be You and Me for NanoBAXers (children entering kindergarten to entering 1st grade)
Come and celebrate yourself and your friends as we express ourselves completely, freely, and fabulously through art, music, and performance!
You Gotta Have Art for Mega and Giga BAXers (entering 2nd-6th grades)
In an exploration of various arts media, young artists use the farthest reaches of their imaginations to go beyond ordinary arts-and-crafts, creating a whirlwind of individual and group paintings, found object sculptures, collages, and drawings that engage different themes and reflect their view of the world.
MegaBAXers (children entering 2nd grade to entering 3rd grade),
GigaBAXers (children entering 4th grade to entering 6th grade).
