Item Description
A case of Bellevue-Seillan Cotes de Gascogne 2011, a red blend from Southern France. Keith and Annette Bienkowski personally selected this case of French red wine for this year's onlibe auction.
TASTING NOTES
Bellevue-Seillan is proudly unconventional in its taste profile, which is “halfway between Bordeaux and a spicy Pinot Noir.” Aromas and flavors of plum and blackberry are accented with sweet tobacco and mulling spices. Round, rich, and fruit-forward on the palate, it displays beautiful ripeness and lovely acidity, with a spiciness that belies the no-oak aging regimen. This wine pairs wonderfully with traditional dishes of the land of d’Artagnan: poultry, charcuterie, and apple tart, and is particularly delightful accompanied by fresh goat cheese.
Item Special Note
Case may not be returned or exchanged.
