The Alden B. Dow Museum of Science & Art celebrates the visual arts and sciences by promoting individual participation, appreciation, education and expression. The hands-on Hall of Ideas and preschool area, rotating Exhibitions in the galleries, community Outreach Programs, Art Fairs and Special Events are all components in the Museum’s programming.
Explore 14,000 square feet of gallery space, including family-friendly interactive exhibits in the Hall of Ideas. Many of the Museum’s featured exhibitions are part of national or global tours and the Alden B. Dow Museum of Science & Art may be their only stop in Michigan. Past exhibitions include: Giant Mysterious Dinosaurs; Frogs! A Chorus of Colors; WaterWorks: Soak Up the Science!; Chinese Terracotta Warriors; Grossology; Lizards & Snakes Alive; A T Rex Named Sue; The Nature of Diamonds; Einstein; and Frank Lloyd Wright.
