Item Description
Lovely turquoise/green pitcher with feather design on the outside, made by James Dahl.
James Dahl began his study of pottery at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, under the direction of Dean Schwarz, who was a former student of the world renowned master potter, Marguerite Wildenhain. Following College, it was his good fortune to study directly with Wildenhain at Pond Farm Pottery. He further expanded his art education by attending Atelier Met de Penninghen et J. d’Andon in Paris, France. In 1969, he began his career in Berkeley, California by joining the Berkeley Potters’ Guild, and renting workshop space in an old warehouse. Two years later James chose to make his home in Mendocino County, CA – just south of Fort Bragg. Today he is enjoying success in his craft and satisfaction in rearing his three children.
