Item Description
Sonoma Coast Vineyards produces exceptional fine wines from the Sonoma Coast appellation. Come experience wine tasting at its best at the light and bright bar, on the outdoor patio enjoying beautiful views of Bodega Bay or nestled next to the stone fireplace.
The cold nights, low yields and late harvest of grapes used in SCV wines are complemented by artisanal processes to generate complex and elegant ultra-premium wines. These pinot noirs, chardonnays and sauvignon blancs are produced with fully ripened fruit at lower brix, mature flavors and tannins, balanced by a high-acid profile. Grapes are selected from the Antonio Mountain, Balistreri Family, Petersen, Bella Sonoma, and Laguna Vista vineyards.
Artisanal methods used to craft this wine include:
- Hand-picked and sorted fruit
- Early morning harvesting with fruit in a cold state
- Gentle whole cluster pressing
- Extended cold soaks up to 10 days
- Hand punch downs 2 to 3 times per day
- Small lot winemaking
- Blending of small lots for complexity
- French oak barrel primary and malolactic fermentation sur lie
- Light filtration
- Extended development time in barrel to achieve maximum complexity. Aging in French oak cooperage complements the fruit and ensures the wines will age beautifully for many years.
