Marylyn Dintenfass is an internationally known artist whose work is found in major public collections including The Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Cleveland Museum of Art, Minneapolis Institute of Arts and public collections in France, Italy, Denmark, Israel, Japan and elsewhere. Recently, her sculpture installation, Almost Like The Blues, was shown at Longhouse Reserve and Sculpture Garden as a part of their 2017 season, alongside works by Sol LeWitt, Willem de Kooning, Yoko Ono, and others.
Her 2010 Parallel Park installation in Fort Myers, Florida is one of the largest and most noteworthy public installations of the last decade. Her work has been reviewed in Art News, The New York Times, and her 2011 and 2012 Driscoll Babcock Galleries exhibitions were both selected, as one of the year’s top 100 shows worldwide by Modern Painters Magazine.
Monographs on the artist’s work include Marylyn Dintenfass Paintings by Lilly Wei (Hudson Hills Press, 2007), Aliza Edelman’s Marylyn Dintenfass Parallel Park (Hard Press Editions, 2011), and Marylyn Dintenfas Drop Dead Gorgeous by Scott Indrisek (2012). A monograph on 30 years of Dintenfass’ prints and biography is in preparation.
