Item Description
"The painting is titled 'Cry for the Earth'. It is a reflection upon how much is taken every day from nature and the Earth that here symbolize the feminine and nurturing energy. Apart from the grieving for the losses (pollution, over urbanization, deforestation, people who didn't survive the extreme hardships of abuses or succumb to poverty), it also contains a positive message: the endless capacity of good forces to heal and generate beauty." - Elisa Rossi
Created with acrylics and a credit card, unframed art on canvas.
This poem, by the artist accompanies the painting:
'There's blood on your lies,
a green light in the eyes,
they hide complicity and benevolence
those are murderers in disguise.
It doesn't matter how many idols you can buy,
Shame will eat you till the end alive.
The original act was an indecipherable deceptive wound, almost a guarantee to death.
He comes in red and black,
steel stingers in the beard
bolts and bullets are the targets in his eyes.
How far did you go to cover us in despise?
Not many allies in our fight
what are we trying to imply?
If the darkness comes from the majority's mind it's hard to speak the light.
Seemed we are insane, embracing a cause in vain
Didn't we receive a share of the cake?
So what is our complain?
You broke some minds in trillions fragments
kicked them somewhere far
choked lungs and cords
it seemed impossible to get beyond that filthy bar
Many lost their minds, lost thir faculty to speak
but we can still see
oh yes, we see and dig
The gun of the murderers comes with gold and sweets
Their riches are poisoning us
until the last bloody spit
Everything will die if you don't stop and cry
We are not alive
we just survive every time we see the sun rise
Feed us truth, feed us light
Feed us sunshine in the night
You can either pretend to be fine with a fake broken smile
or you can accept to die, be roborn and shine
Thousands of warriors are going to war in name of Truth, for redemption is a human right , not a tabù
They stand on the front lines, bleeding but not giving a damn.
Because Life will be very, very nice again'
