SAGO SPA & SALON
Sago Spa, situated on The Chesapeake Bay, is in a scenic location where the Atlantic Ocean meets the fresh waters of its surrounding rivers. The rise and flow of the tides have long impacted the livelihood of Maryland’s Eastern Shore, and Sago has managed to capture the bounty of this great land and deliver life, vitality, and nourishment to all spa guests.  

The vitality and rich ecosystems of the Eastern Shore region are the inspiration behind Sago Spa & Salon. The spa’s namesake, sago, is a strong underwater grass in the Chesapeake Bay that provides life, vitality, and nourishment to the surrounding waters and its inhabitants. Our treatments are rooted in natural, sea-based products, and they are known for their revitalizing and rejuvenating effects.

Sago Spa’s design features nautical-inspired wall sconces and naturally textured wallpapers, with a color palette of golden hues, steel blues, and earth tones. Guests can rejuvenate in 13 soothing treatment rooms outfitted with top-of-the-line equipment. Additional features include a steam and sauna, a full retail area, and an expanded modern salon complete with hair, make-up, and nail stations. With respect to the environment, eco-friendly materials were used in the construction whenever possible, from the limestone reception desk to the salon’s recycled glass tile.

Blue Heron Rookery
Our 18-acre wildlife refuge provides a lush habitat for native wildlife, including the Great Blue Heron and American Bald Eagle. The land is closed to the public from December 15 through July 31 by federal regulation for nesting.

Water Sports by Blackwater Adventures
Stop by the beach hut to rent kayaks, paddle boards, jet skis, powerboats, or catamarans. Services are available seasonally, from Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Outdoor Recreation
Get out and get moving! Our resort includes facilities and equipment for tennis, basketball, beach volleyball, Frisbee golf, miniature golf, and horseshoes—plus, three pools and trails for walking and jogging.

AREA ATTRACTIONS
Whether you're looking for relaxation or adventure, our concierge can help. Eastern Maryland provides great terrain for cycling and horseback riding, and in addition to our resort's available water sports, you can book a fishing or crabbing excursion. We have the kids covered, too, with fun and learning at Camp Hyatt.
